Have you ever wondered about the challenges our children will face in the future? Are they receiving the training that they need? Do you feel the need to reach out and to teach those around you? Have I got an idea for you;

Puppets!

I have seen how enthusiastically that children (and adults) respond to puppets making them an ideal teaching companion. Puppets are equally accepted in the classroom, in the Sunday school room, in auditoriums and in the great outdoors. If you have a message to offer, puppets can assist in the delivery.

I was asked to join our church puppet ministry several years ago and I have seen how enthusiastically that children and adults. Within months of joining, I found myself leading the ministry. Overwhelmed, I quickly envisioned the future of the puppet ministry and set forth a plan, a plan that God has truly blessed.

Following my plan, with God’s blessings (can’t do anything without that), we basically started over. We’ve replaced our store-bought puppets with original creations that have character. We’ve moved from “sing along” and pre-recorded skits, to custom skits written for the occasion. Now, our puppet ministry is a favorite with adults and kids alike. We are frequently asked to perform at other churches in our state.

Whether you want to start a new ministry or give a fresh start to your existing ministry, “Want a Bite of Elephant? A guide to starting your puppet ministry” is the book for you. Please read a few words from my friend, Shawn Sorrell.

Wanna Bite of Elephant steps you through each aspect in planning and perfecting your ministry. I’ve seen puppet ministries fail. I’ve seen puppet ministries that have gotten stale. I’ve seen puppet ministries that are just not good. People love the message, but not the quality of the delivery and even though comments are encouraging, puppet ministries in general cannot compare to “television puppets”. I want to change that.

I am very passionate about puppets and the unique opportunity that a puppet ministry can offer. I believe this is my purpose so I don’t just want you to have a puppet ministry. I want you to have a great puppet ministry that is entertaining, informative and above all brings glory to our savior, Jesus Christ.
